‘Strength in Harmony’
GRAPES: Tinta de Toro 100%
HARVEST: The vineyards are located in the best areas of San Román de Hornija, a village next to the Duero River. In search of its optimum ripening stage to achieve a fruity and powerful wine as a result.
WINE MAKING: Made with grapes selected in the field, first during the harvest and once in the winery through a selection table. Alcoholic fermentation: fermented in stainless steel tanks of 10,000 kg. at a controlled temperature and favouring extraction for 14 days. Once fermentation is complete, we pump over and battonage with the skins several times a day for 5 days. Malolactic fermentation: this is carried out in stainless steel tanks in contact with the fine lees.
BARRELS: Matured in French oak vats for 4 months and remained in French oak barrels for a further 8 months.
TASTING NOTES: Cuentaovejas is an innovative interpretation that shows a grape with powerful aptitudes, which does not lose its classic elegance. Cardinal red colour with aromas of ripe red fruits (strawberry, blackberry and raspberry) and with sweet hints of vanilla together with some spicy touches typical of its ageing in French oak barrels. In the mouth it reveals its freshness and flavour, being powerful and very long-lasting. We recommend opening the bottle half an hour before drinking).
